Intro
Hello everyone, This is ClickClack, today we’ll be presenting a keyboard from our old friend Pixelspace Studio. It has been over a year since the last release - the Capsule65! Pixelspace Studio has been established for 3 years now. Thank you all for your continued support and love. Today we want to introduce to you the latest 80% keyboard project - the “Shadow”.
Design
▼A dual color design was decided for this project - the main case colours are contrasted by the secondary colour which is in the weight as well as the midframe, which can be seen on all sides, as well as a protrusion at the front and back.
▼In the badge and the back and bottom weight badge of the keyboard, we tried to deviate from the traditional of exposing light features directly. Instead, the light is diffused through subtle peeks to create a more ambient feel.
Structure
▼The gasket leaf spring mounting style is still applied, but this time the silicone gaskets have been replaced by gasket socks, with improved rounded tab shape as well.
PCB and Layouts
▼PCB has two options, hotswap and soldered, both use QMK firmware and are VIA compatible. It’s a non-cut standard 1.6mm PCB in the following layouts:
└ Soldered: ANSI, ISO, split shifts and backspace support, stepped and standard caps, 6.25 and 7u spacebar
└ Hotswap: ANSI, stepped and standard caps, no split support, 7u spacebar
Colourways
There are two versions offered for this keyboard:
└ All-aluminium version - weight, badge, midframe, case all 6063 aluminium
└ Stainless steel weight version - weight, badge, midframe stainless steel, case 6063 aluminium
▼Aluminium version comes with anodised colourways as well as coating colourways:
└ From left to right: silver, dark gray and dark purple
└ From left to right: yellow, red, cream and starry night
▼Stainless steel version has the following colourways:
└ Anodised silver with silver PVD
└ Anodised purple with black PVD
└ Anodised gray with black PVD
└ Red coating with black PVD
└ Yellow coating with black PVD
└ Cream coating with silver PVD
└ Starry night coating with chroma sandblasted finish
└ Starry night coating with black PVD
The kit offers four options, including a regular full aluminum version, stainless steel PVD mirror version, stainless steel chroma version, and stainless steel ice crystal version (which cannot be shown in rendering and will be displayed in physical form during the GB). All color configurations are officially fixed and cannot be customized. The special edition version pictures will be updated here soon
